GENERAL INFORMATION
WHAT WE MOVE

• 33% specialized entertainment transportation
• 25% miscellaneous:
Rock Crushers, MRI trailers, Wood chippers, Medical Labs,
Tool Trailers, Generators, Stacked Chassis, and Carnival Rides

Home Time -- Fleet average is 3-4 weeks on the road
DRIVER PAY

Weekly paychecks

DRIVER REQUIREMENTS
• 3 or more years of experience
• At least 26 years old

Health Insurance is available
• No more than 3 accidents/moving violations in the last 3 years

OPERATOR PAY
•
72% of Linehaul (100% Fuel Surcharge)
•
Average Pay Per Loaded Mile: Single $1.01 Team $1.10
•
Guaranteed $0.80 per loaded mile.
•
Average Length of Haul: 800 miles.
•
Average Bobtail: 19% of total miles driven per year (Not paid by company)
•
Weekly Settlements: Paperwork in by 5:00pm CST Tuesday.
Settlement mailed every Friday. Direct Deposit on Monday.
•
50% Advance of revenue per load (Issued on Comchek)
•
$50 Monthly Toll allowance (Above tolls paid by customer)
BONUS PROGRAM
•
Initial base plate and permits are furnished upon sign-on. (Will provide annually if
operator achieves 80,000* loaded accident/claim free miles.)
•
After 90,000* loaded, accident/claim free miles truck will receive "1% truck gross bonus"
paid in monthly increments over a 1 year period.
•
After 96,000* loaded, accident/claim free miles the operator's Occupational/Accident
Insurance will be reimbursed -- this equates to a benefit of $1,704 per year.
* Miles are based on a calendar year . January through December
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
•
3 years recent verifiable over the road experience
•
Clean motor vehicle record (CDL endorsements for Hazardous Materials, Tank and
Doubles are beneficial.)
•
Verifiable Random DOT drug test results for last two years.
•
No felony, No DUI's or DWI's in the last five years.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
•
Sliding 5th wheel
•
1995 or newer Model Tractor is preferred. (If older model supply picture of tractor
w/application.)
Required within 90 days:
•
Headache rack
•
6 -- 4" straps & 6 -- 4" portable ratchet-type winches
•
6 -- 20' chains & binders
Suggested additional equipment:
•
Long sliding 5th wheel
•
Light bar
•
Pintle Hook, Ball Hitch and Electric Brakes
LEASING PROCEDURES
• Complete and return the enclosed application.
• If your tractor is older than a 1995 model, include a recent photo of the tractor.
Must have prior to orientation

Copy of current Form 2290 (Stamped paid by the IRS)
•
Valid Annual DOT Inspection of equipment
•
Long form physical
Once your application is approved, we will schedule a date for you to come to Griffith, Indiana
with your equipment to attend orientation (2 days). Powersource will furnish one night lodging
and your lunches.
CONTRACTOR INSURANCE
BOBTAIL INSURANCE: REQUIRED
•
Certificate of Insurance must be provided.
•
Can be purchased through Powersource Transportation Inc. (Group policy) @ the cost of
$35.00 per month. *
Deductible = $2,500.00
* $35.00 due at time of sign-on for the 1st month premium.
OCCUPATIONAL/ACCIDENT: REQUIRED
•
Certificate of Insurance must be provided.
•
Can be purchased through Powersource Transportation Inc. (Group policy) @ the cost of
$142.00 per month. *
* $142.00 due at time of sign-on for the 1st month premium.
CARGO LIABILITY LIMITER
•
Main "cargo policy" provided by Powersource Transportation Inc.
•
This "Cargo Liability Limiter" policy covers the first $5000 of cargo damage with a $500
deductible to the owner/operator.
•
This coverage is required to be carried through Powersource Transportation Inc. at the
cost of $45.00 per month. *
•
In lieu of this plan you may choose to have a $5,000 escrow account.
* $90.00 due at time of sign-on for one month deposit and 1st month premium.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: AVAILABLE
•
Coverage is available at group rates. Contact Powersource Transportation Inc for a
quote. *
* 1st month premium due at sign-on.
LIABILITY INSURANCE
•
Coverage provided under Powersource Transportation Inc Policy.
$2500.00 ESCROW: REQUIRED
You are required to put $250.00 down at sign on.
$75.00 will be deducted from your
settlements until the full amount is in escrow.
In the event the contract is terminated, these monies will be returned forty-five days after
receipt of all property belonging to Powersource Transportation Inc. & provided all financial
obligations to Powersource Transportation Inc. are met.

Orientation is a 2 day program.

promptly at 8am CST. Powersource Transportation, Inc. will provide one night's lodging.
Dispatch will be received from the Griffith, IN office on the 2nd day.
