Driver Requirements
- Minimum of 25 years of age.
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable experience in the last 5 years.
- A current Class A CDL with Hazardous Material and Doubles Endorsement.
- No more than 2 moving violations /preventable accidents within the past 36 months.
- No serious violations as defined by FMCS Regulations.
- Any alcohol related convictions must be 10 years or older.
- No drug related convictions.
- Good safety record.
- No felony convictions.
- No pets. (company drivers)

Our Independent Contractor Program

- Solo ICs who originate at the Philadelphia Metro, New England Metro, or New York Metro facilities and who deliver in one of the six designated New England states (Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island) and the trip finals at Philadelphia Metro, New England Metro, or New York Metro will be paid $1.00/mile , excluding Canada.
- Solo ICs who originate at the New England Metro facility and deliver to the defined Philadelphia Metro, New England Metro local zip codes, as follows: 070 to 089, 090 to 119, 170 to 171, and 173 to 196, and the trip finals at Philadelphia Metro or New York Metro facilities will be paid at $1.00/mile, excluding Canada.
- Pay Increases. $.01 Annual Mileage Rate Increase For Safe And Superior Service.
- Pick Up Pay. $25.00 is paid for first pick-up, $35.00 for the second pick-up, and $45.00 for the third and subsequent pick-ups for LTL trips.
- Delivery Pay. $25.00 is paid for each en route delivery for all LTL trips .
- Base Plate and Permits. Provided by Jevic at no cost to Independent Contractor.
- Fuel Taxes. Will be calculated and filed quarterly on behalf of the Independent Contractor. The Independent Contractor is responsible for any additional taxes due.
- Passenger Program. Independent Contractor may obtain Insurance and written authorization to allow a passenger, at least 10 years of age, to ride in the equipment.
- Escrow Fund. Jevic requires an Escrow Fund in the amount of $1000.00. The principal amount is deposited into an interest-bearing account from settlement deduction of $100.00 each week, beginning with second settlement.
- Satellite Dispatch. QUALCOMM Satellite Communication equipment furnished and installed by Jevic. Total cost to Independent Contractor is $15.00 per week for use of this equipment.
- Insurance Coverages. Complete list of insurance coverages available at preferred rates through optional settlement deductions. Independent Contractor is required to furnish proof of Non-Trucking Auto Liability coverage in the amount of $1,000,000 and Occupational Accident/Workers' Compensation Insurance coverages.
