“Deliver on-time with Dot-Line”
Owner Operators
Dot-Line Transportation is once again expanding its operations, creating 20 new permanent full time positions for Class A over-the-road team and solo owner operators. These positions are available for owner operators living within our hiring areas.
Dot-Line has been an industry leader in the expedited LTL freight market for over 25 years. Our principals are based on sound business relations with our contractors, employees, customers and vendors.
Dot-Line has experienced exceptional growth year after year, this year is no exception. Our in-house account representatives ensure all our trucks stay loaded. The biggest portion of our freight is dock-to-dock, no touch loads. We have established brokers and direct customers ready to load your truck back, during peak service periods, if needed.
Our freight originates in Southern California and delivers to destinations along the east coast, including New Jersey , Florida , Texas and the mid-west. The trucks then return back to Southern California . Five day turns to the east coast and back again are common within our team operation. This assures our contractors receive quality home time without giving up the benefit of a high mileage opportunity. 22,000 plus monthly miles is typical for Dot-Line Teams. This is the reason why we need the best qualified team and solo owner operators available.
One of the many benefits of being a Dot-Line owner operator is we offer everything needed to lease your truck with no out of pocket expenses and you are never required to purchase anything from us. This means you can provide us with your own bobtail and occupational accident coverage, and IFTA permit if you choose too. We offer a reimbursement of your base plate costs whenever your truck runs over 200,000 annual miles for teams or 100,000 miles for solo operators.
If you prefer, we can provide bobtail insurance, occupational accident and physical damage coverage through our insurance carrier at reasonable rates if needed. Owner operators can run on our IFTA or your own, of course general liability and cargo coverage is provided at no cost to all lease contractors.
Additionally, for your piece of mind, Dot-Line Transportation's lease agreement meets or exceeds the requirements of the federal regulations.
If you are an independent contractor with your own authority give us a call to discuss our rates. We can load your truck in both directions.

Welcome to Dot-Line Transportation; a team of professional drivers, managers and freight specialists. Our commitment to professionalism is not focused on being the biggest carrier but the best carrier for our valued customers. Our commitment to service has kept Dot-Line Transportation on the go for more than 25 years.
Driver Commitment
Our commitment to drivers includes, a safe working environment, high mileage runs with an excellent compensation and benefit package, new equipment and a never-ending steady, year-round income. Our drivers and their families have grown to depend on this commitment year after year. Because of our commitment to safe quality service, we select only the best-seasoned professional drivers that have acquired an excellent work ethic and proven safety record. Some of our OTR drivers have been part of our team for over 17 years, while 48% of our drivers have been committed to Dot-Line Transportation for five years or more.
Equipment
Dot-Line Transportation extends its commitment to our drivers by providing drivers state of the art equipment. Whenever a tractor acquires 325,000 miles, we trade it in for a new one. Usually our drivers receive a new truck each year. This year our drivers proudly deliver our customers freight utilizing 2005 Kenworth W-900 tractors. These tractors are built with contractor specifications that include 86” sleepers, button-tuck interiors, all aluminum wheels, two tone paint and are powered by a Caterpillar dual turbo C-15 engine. Each truck has 400-gallon fuel capacity to help keep you out of the truck stops and on the road, while helping us to save money.
Support Staff
Our support staff is comprised of the best-dedicated people the industry offers. You will appreciate the one-on-one service from our operations department. Dispatchers will know your name not a truck number when you call in for a dispatch.
Our payroll department personnel take their jobs very seriously. They process your trip paperwork timely so you receive an accurate paycheck week after week. If a problem appears on your check, they quickly correct it without fail.
Our shop mechanics work hard to keep your truck serviced at regular intervals. All Dot-Line equipment, including our trailers never run on recapped tires. You will never need to worry about another blown recapped tire again. Of course, with new equipment your breakdown percentage is virtually non-existent.
